We decided to try a new location for our startrails workshops on Sunday and it turned out to be a real winner.
Initially cloud obscured the southern view but we were treated to a period of clear skies that let us capture images like this.

Classy image Dave!
Wow, that's awesome! Do you have any details of the startrails workshop? That is an excellent looking location. The only ones I've been able to find recently are all too brightly lit to be of any use.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/ross_m] Thanks Ross. Spotted this composition within minutes of arriving on site, but didn't think I'd get to shoot it as the clouds moved in and there wasn't a star to be seen, then after shooting in a different direction for an hour or so, we had some clear skies for long enough to get this.
