The "classic" star-trails circle shot. LOTS of stars out over Moogerah last night. Shot before the moonrise, with just a little light-painting of the nearby tree.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chooksh] I may redo it yet with the additional long exposure shots thrown in for a bit more foreground illumination.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/darvidanoar] Absolutely David, 'tis great out there on these cold winter nights.

Wow! Really lots of stars! May I ask how long it took to shoot them and how many frames in total?

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/32491696@N00] [http://www.flickr.com/photos/2careless] I think the total exposure time was around 1.5 hours (roughly), f/4, ISO 800
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeremyphotos] They sure are, just wear warm clothes (can recommend RM Williams Moleskin jeans).
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chamellieon_photography] Only started to feel the cold in my boots when it hit 5ยบ and by then we were done. :)

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewpost] Can't see the airports from here, but it's obviously a flight path.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/aramisfirefly] Pretty high Matt. A LOT higher than this time last year.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/geoff_francis] Just added a wee bit, wasn't quite as even as I wanted but I wasn't really there to take photos, was providing tuition.
