Stairway to the River
Taken on a lunchtime walk earlier in the month, but posted for the Staircases thread on The World Through My Eyes.
These stairs lead from someone's backyard down to the Brisbane river, presumably for the purposes of docking private boats.

Thanks Micky, I'd estimate by the age of the house above, that they'd have to be at least 80 or 90 years old, possibly older.

Dont seem to see much of Tim at the moment, you have a lot of red rocks dont you- sandstone ? perhaps this is a tired old bit, feeling off colour !!
Hmm, could be pink sandstone. Doesn't look like pink granite. Not sure really. Might need to return and get a closer shot ;)

Wow, this is awesome - I'm finding all sorts of treasures in your steam! I love the feeling this picture gets from the focal length you chose - I've been into this sort of tight cropping in recent times so this one is really appealing. Nicely done!

I do tend to take a lot of long focal length shots, and I've found a bit of cropping can really change the look of a shot.
