It was very hazy in Brissie this morning, so much so that I asked my work colleague if it was smoky outside, but he replied it was just haze. (He'd been outside recently, I hadn't). However, it wasn't until I left tonight that I realised just how silly it was to ask a smoker if the haze outside was smoke or not, 'cause sure enough, I could clearly smell smoke upon going outside.
This is four landscape oriented photos taken through my office window, stitched together vertically with Canon's PhotoStitch software (AutoStitch has issues with vertical stitches, which can be gotten around by rotating the individual frames 90 degrees, and then rotating the pano back 90 degrees, but I really didn't want to go to all the hassle of doing that).

Good stitching - I can't see any joins.
One person's smoke is another person's haze....
Yeah, I'm impressed with how well PhotoStitch managed this one - usually I have to tweak it a lot as it's not as accurate as AutoStitch.
I agree, nice stitching.
Did you happen to find out why it was so smoky yesterday? They were going to say why on the news, but i missed that bit at the end.
I did a bit of a news search yesterday, but there wasn't anything online about it. I don't watch tellie, so didn't catch the evening news either.
I can only guess there were burn-offs or fires upwind of Brissie and it was all blown in.
Must have been then. Didnt mind the smell for a while, it was just like the smoke that comes from peoples fire places. Then it just got annoying.
Yeah there was definitely wood smoke in there, not just a grass fire.
