It's a new look that's going to be big, but only in Brisbane, I suspect.

i didn't actally have the thought that he'd been out drinking at all. to me, he looked like a european backpacker (thus the attire .. comfort before fashion) who was either waiting for someone or else hadn't organised his accomodation for the night.

Ah well see that didn't occur to me at all. I figure if you're out that late in the city, so close to the Treasury, you've probably been drinking (or taking photos, it would seem). I could be wrong though, as your explanation makes sense too.
it could easily have been that, too, but the big bag & clothing screamed "backpacker!" to me. heh.
