While finishing up for the day, I spotted the sun illuminating palm leaves and thought it'd make an interesting backdrop.

Strobist: One brolly box camera right fairly close containting a single 580exII @ 1/4 power. Slow shutter speed for more ambient.

    Yep, flash exposure is controlled by aperture, while ambient is controlled by aperture and shutter speed, so if you have your flash right, but want more or less ambient, adjust your shutter speed. :)
