Short-lit profile of Kara

This is a style of lighting I've been wanting to try for a while but hadn't got around to it.

Single light, camera right and behind subject, high, into silver brolly @ 1:1.

The black is due to physics and underexposing the ambient conditions.

    I like this a lot. I was pontificating (to myself) if there should be just a tinge of detail on the dark side but then I decided that I should quit and just enjoy the photo :-)

    I kept having to stop myself putting another light on that side to add a tinge of detail when shooting it. I wanted the result I got, but there was always a niggling suggestion that I should light the other side too. ;-)
