She's a Killer...

Holy Leaping Ladies Batman, it's yet another flying dancer photo from the Brisbane Strobist Meet #6.

Strobist info: Lots of flashes didn't fire for me in this shot (darn optical slaves being stolen by other 'togs) anyway, I know for certain that the SB-600 @ 1/4 power fired into my brolly box on camera right, and that was probably it really.

    Thanks :)
Bit of a salvage job on this one as my optical slave went off for another photographer fractions of a second before I pressed the shutter.

    Nice one.

I must say, the coloured costumes were a lot easier to shoot than the black ones!

More coloured costumes or black on white next time - at least your computer works. Nice shot.

Sorry Dave it was probably me that stole your light. Your pics are a heap better than mine but that’s no surprise. Great shot by the way.

Hahaha...stolen light. (o^^o) You still got a great shot.

    Hi David. Great shot.

Very good result. I like the action feel and how the lighting has isolated the subject. Lovely colourful outfit too.
A built in remedy for Khrushchev and Kennedy.

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

It's running OSX, of course it works :)
You're right though - seamless white backdrops would have been the go.
Could have been anyone really, it only takes one flash to set off the opticals ;-)
    Thanks Margot :)
Hi Colin. Thanks. Looks like everyone managed to come away with something.
I did burn the rather distracting background a bit though. But yeah the coloured costumes worked really well.

I really liked this shot of yours - I just got to my version tonight - looks nowhere near as rich. Your colours really pop and the light on the sword is
For comparison...note that mine seems to be taken just a fraction before yours.... shifty eyes...

    Thanks :)
I see you're the culprit for the missing optical slaves ;-) (at least the rear one, and probably the one into the reflector camera left).
