Two days after the heavy rains with a nice layer of clouds to diffuse the light is usually the best time to photograph the creek. Here's one of today's efforts.
I photographed this same spot a few days later.

Damn... this is sooo cool David!! It was a very similar shot that you posted a couple of months ago that brought me to your stream for the first time. Brilliant!!!
We've had a lot of rain recently (two days ago we had 9 inches over about 36 hours). Where I was standing for this shot would have been in the middle of the floodwaters. Waiting a couple of days for it to subside a bit pays off (and as an added bonus, the water is no longer brown).
Very nice David. Wish we had some of your rain down here.
Nice Dave! The rain has sure been good!
Stunning Dave!
As usual...very nice work. I love the detail in the shadow areas.
Oh sir this is truly beautiful.
top top photo Dave... Look how dyanmic and fast the creek ( ! river ! ) is! wow!
Out of all the times you've been down here and taken photos of this spot, i love this one by far the most!
Congrats! It looks bloodly awesome large!! and the original is even better! thanks!
Wonderful!
It sounds like it's been very wet over there! Surprisingly, a lot of the waterfalls I've been to here in the UK haven't been running at full strength, because it hasn't actually rained much recently. The sun actually comes out from behind the clouds! It's weird. :)
Spectacular! I love these shots!
Good. W alan parson' project
