Rose on a Barbed Wire Fence

Kara and I went on a Photo Expedition today to Lake Samsonvale (and some other areas). At a little cemetary near Lake Samsonvale I saw this cloth rose attached to the barb wire fence surrounding the grounds.

In the words of Maria, this shot is Bokelicious ;-)

This shot placed 3rd in the Australian Photographers!!! 1st half of Dec competition.

    Thanks Jill :) It really stood out sitting there in the fence wire, so out of place, while somehow belonging there at the same time.

    Geez David, this is awesome! It really looks like the rose is growing out of the barbed wire. And the only thorn that is visible is the one of the barbed wire rather than the rose. Lots of deep-thinking material here I'm sure if you are so inclined!

    Good luck in the Australian Photographer's comp - looks like everyone is going out with a bang! It's going to be the toughest one yet for me I think.
