This interesting rock was found by my 4 yo son Aleks at the Australian Heritage Festival, Jondaryan Woolshed. I decided to take a macro shot of it, just to see how it would come out and it turns out Aleks was in the background poking his tongue out.
I like the contrasting colours and the expression on Aleks' face.

love the bokeh! wonderful shot!!!
The rock looks like an animal. Great find, hope you kept it.
Thanks Maria and Lynne.
And no, we didn't keep the rock. We have a strick policy of not keeping rocks Aleks finds, otherwise the house would soon be burried. On the same day at different times he had a piece of coal, a small round rock, a large grey rock, another small rock and then asked about this rock again.
Thank you for posting in the Canon PowerShot S2 IS: macro and super macro pool.
the rock has a face too !
Hey look at that, it does too! I hadn't noticed that Helen.
Great image.
I think this would qualify for the Bokeh group: Bokeh: Smooth & Silky
Lovely image !
This is really growing on me, and at the time it was just a bit of mucking about with the the supermacro mode on the camera. I've managed to capture that ellusive bokeh and satisfied the rule of thirds too.
well done and good luck it the bokeh comp
oops just found out that you missed it. maybe next time :)
