Rock inlet

Illusionary shot taken in a small inlet through the rocks at Maloolaba beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

The inlet was no more than 2 feet wide and 1 foot deep, but appears to be a mighty flooded canyon (at least at first glance).

That's the beauty of Queensland Beaches Maria :)

Most are covered in large tracts of sand, but I like the rock outcrops as they're more interesting than just sand.

I suppose distance is a relative thing Maria, I wouldn't have thought you could be very far from anything in Japan, but I'm used to some fairly large distances between things in Australia. A 12hr drive to see my parents is a decent undertaking, but that covers abour 1200kms. A trip to the beach for us is about an hour and a half away, not far at all.
