This almost has a tilt-shift quality to it, can't quite put my finger on it
    Nice :)

I have no idea what that means...
Red leaf reminds me of a canoe :) Very nice lighting.

Thats a good shoot! The colours go well together .

It is a bit - probably due to the fairly open aperture and angle. Needless to say, I took quite a few of this leaf in different angles, etc, but settled on this one.
It was sitting next to me when I shot the Grey Fantail, and figured I had to have a go at the leaf too. ;-)
Carefully labelled for the Red-Green colourblind ;-)
    Thanks Pete :)

Love this David. That light is really something else, looks like a studio shot.

Thanks - 'tis just afternoon sunlight, but the angle was about right, which helped.

Yea I really like the saturation of the colors, and how the grass gets out of focus around the edges.. nice with the darkening out as well...

The dark edges (vignetting) were added in post-production, but the rest is "as shot". :)

I thought so, I lke the effect. Which program are you using, Lightroom?
  • David de Groot said:
Yep - Lightroom is the bees knees, suits my workflow perfectly.

Thanks Simon. There's something about a red leaf that just makes you want to photograph it ;-)
