Red Grevillea

Saw this bright red grevillea flower at the churchyard I visited in Mitchelton today while geocaching.

    Thanks Alexandra :) I cheated a little and held the branch still with my other hand as there was a bit of a breeze blowing at the time, but it was such a bright vibrant red I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

    Tiffany, they're quite common here, being a native of Australia, but I can imagine they may not have been introduced far and wide overseas.

    hehe Helps that the camera is a relatively light PowerShot S2 IS, and as the model suggests, has image stabilisation.

    Bet yes, I was struck by it red shininess (ooooh shiny thing!).
