Real Pressure Cooker Steamer Baskets

Just to prove that the new ball sculptures in Brisbane Square are indeed made from pressure cooker steamer baskets, here's a shot of the steamer baskets from my pressure cooker (a Namco brand unit that's probably 30 or 40+ years old).

Count the dots, and compare!

Yep - pretty amusing eh? Maria.

My pressure cooker was Mum's, she got a smaller one from Grandma so I "inherited" the larger one.

I'm sure one of your kids would be happy to "inherit" this too;-)

How cool is that, could you say that you have uncovered a conspiracy by Namco. To explore avenues of moving their surplus stock that has been a tax deduction, without informing their share holders?
    ouch did I say that?

I suspect it's actually a conspiracy of the council to re-use things it finds at the waste transfer stations and won't let ordinary people take home. I remember when a trip to the dump would result in almost as much stuff coming home as you took there!

Aww, come-on David - you nipped back one night and prised one off that sculpture - admit it !

Nah not worth it David, there's no way to convert these things into camera equipment...

Okay so I counted and there are 31 holes on top x 3 = 93 holes all in all...not counting the holes on the side. :o)

    Slow night/day Margot ? ;-)

Yes, it was. My insomnia is back and I got tired of counting the sheeps. :o)
