Quirky Chimney

Next to St John's Cathedral is another church building (part of it is an old hospital I think), with some very odd architecture.

This chimney is just one example.

Check out the cross insert, that looks like a piece out of old Europe.
Against the modern glass building it eally stands out.

It's an odd little building, but the chimney and cross really stood out. Thanks Kev and Jill.

Quirky is such a good word - and fits it quite well - thanks Binjy :)

Wow, this is such an eye-catcher! Aside from the contrast of old and new, I really love the pattern on the building in the background. Great composition on this too, just the sort of thing I like! Wonderful little building too with it's thin feature and tiny little 'roof'. Great capture.

Thanks again Chris :) Alas the remaining shots of that building were less than impressive. However, the high sun didn't help any. I might have to return for another shoot at a better time of day.
