Queen Mary Falls

from our expedition on Saturday. Seemed like a decent amount of water going over the falls.

This is from the lookout at the top, short 500m walk from the picnic grounds, but we then went on to do the full 2km circuit to the bottom and back.

Oddly, the falls seem more impressive from the top.

    Having said that, the view from the bottom is quite nice too, just doesn't seem to have the same sense of scale.
    Just how long have you been waiting to use that phrase ? ;-)
    The colour version was nice too, but I think the b&w version highlights the structure more.

    Pretty much was looking straight down. The lookout juts out over the cliff edge, and then I leant over the fence a little (keeping a very firm grip on my kit of course).

    It was incredible looking from the top, and from up there it looked like it would look even more incredible from down below. But when we got down there, it was only amazing. Perhaps we just couldn't get close enough to look up from under it?
