Postcard from Great Grandma Morrison
written when she was almost 20 years old. This is the back of the postcard, the front depicted a photo of the car described within.
I've tried to clean it up a bit to make it a little more readable, but am not sure it worked so here's a transcript:

This is the car Dad got.
What do you think of it. He took us out for
a drive yesterday &
we enjoyed it. It was
Dad's second trip by
himself. He is doing very
well. Can go out to
Samford in a few
minutes now. You
remember the ... horse
we had, well it died
that is why Dad got
the car.

It's great isn't it ? I didn't even know this existed and was just going through some scans Dad did from Grandpa & Grandma's photo albums.
WOW wonderful piece of family history! Priceless! My grandma's name was Alice too, and I used to try to copy those wonderful A's... never quite got it!
I can actually do an A like that, in fact, although I'm a little rusty, I'm capable of some rather nice calligraphy. :)
It's definitely a neat little bit of history to stumble upon.
Lovely penmanship. I know it was sad about the dead of their horse but it made me smile to read the reason they bought the car.
