Parramatta Lake

We went to Parramatta Lake Reserve today for a spot of geocaching and a nice walk. The circuit walk is 4.5kms long and we completed it in 1hr 50mins (with a 6yo in tow).

    Lovely shot :) Were you running it? I walked 1.2 km along a track today in about 2 hours - I was looking under leaves and waiting for birds to show themselves! Slim pickings tho!

    Just rechecked the GPS log - 1hr 57min 58secs at an average speed of 2km/hr - obviously some of the track was faster than other bits, and we stopped to geocache about half way around.
    'twas a good day for it Bennie - not too hot (although we were by the end of it), and it's quite a nice spot (for being in Sydney) ;-)

    Nah, geocaching :) I walk fairly quickly (usually 5-7km/hr) but the family doesn't.

    Ever since I went bushwalking with tjb I've slowed down considerably ! And it's amazing what you find ! Whenever I stop to take a pic of something I've noticed, I find something equally or more interesting in the very near vicinity :) Especially up here in the tropics...the rainforest is teeming with all sorts of life forms!

    I vary with walking speed. When out on my own, I take my time if looking for interesting photo ops, but when out with people or going somewhere, I tend to walk faster.

    We didn't have any swaps with us, so I didn't really pay much attention to the contents of the cache, just signed the logbook to say we'd found it.
