    When it flows in Summer, it's *the* place to be on a hot afternoon, but the temp. at the moment must be under 10 degrees in the water (16 on the veranda at the moment).

    Yeah it's sometimes hard to tell if it's raining or just the creek flowing! But the sound is soothing overnight, so I tend to sleep quite well :)

    when we were living on our farm in mareeba, there was a creek like 100m away, we just got used to hearing the rapids :), probably even helped you relax when going to sleep :P

    I was wondering how you people living down that way where, The rain up the top of the mountain was totally non stop last night it was really something else, Its started again tonight, Dad has recorded over 200mm in our rain gauge our dam is looking rather full

    We had constant rain yesterday and last night too (220mm 9am - 8am), then more rain until about 1pm, when we got a small break, and then drizzle and some heavy rain on and off since.
