For this loaf, I added with the flour, about a tablespoon of cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of castor sugar and a handful and a half of dark chocolate buttons.
The recipe, is my Basic Loaf with the additions above.
The result, an incredibly fantastic chocolate choc-chip bread loaf. It took much effort not to eat it all while still hot.

the famous choc chip bread, I make on rare occasions a choc chip bread pudding, instead of the usual fruit version, apparently its really good, doesnt appeal, but I dont like the fruit version or somewhat soggy custardy bread . I rarely eat what I've cooked, by the time I've looked at it for however long it takes I have lost any interest I had !!
Looks so delish, David, and I like the way you took the picture. I wish I could have a BIG bite! So where's the milk?
From the thumbnail I thought that the brown spot was an insect of some sort! Glad it wasn't :)
Helen, the remainder of this loaf may end up as a bread and butter pudding yet, I guess it depends on whether Lea reads this comment or not ;) *hint* *hint*
Margot, I must admit, I did touch up the background a bit. The kitchen overlooks the study, which is really good when I'm cooking, but not so for taking photos, so a little lens blur in photoshop blurred it out a bit more than what came out of the camera. :)
Sundereses ('cause I don't know which of you two are commenting), I'm also glad it's not an insect! ;)
This looks delicious David, I think I will have to try this....:-)
