Nice catch ! Strange things I think we have them on our place they tend to fly off at the slightest scare.

Unusual glide posture ...
David de Groot said: Strange, and noisy - they honk pretty constantly when disturbed, or even when not disturbed ;-) Unusual birds ;-)

one of natures slight oddities !
I like them because of that, not an angle I've seen before as ' mine ' have been in zoos or collections, no doubt with one wing clipped to foil escape attempts. Great , I like it.
How are you for water, read about those poor camels- yeah I know they are not native but it seems stupid to shoot them and leave them to rot in the desert. Round them up and eat them or something, not great either, but it might be a more worthy death....
I have to ask...... have you had camel pie ?
David de Groot said: They definitely get in some awkward poses while fluttering about. Good long distance flyers though.
We're good for water at the moment - had a couple of storms, filled the tanks nicely. The creek could do with more rain, that's for sure, but hopefully we get some decent downpours soon (possible storms scheduled this arvo and tomorrow arvo - mind you, 34 degrees during the day!).
Hadn't heard about the camels, obviously not deemed newsworthy here. And you do realise camel pie is a euphemism for something not suitable for discussion here ? :P
