Office Block

Shot from our conference room at work as I had to work back tonight.

Another shot that I'm not particularly happy with the composition, but I find fascinating because of the details.

Best viewed as large as you can see it :)

Definitely some swanky offices over there anyway. During the day you can't see in.

no 'Rear Window' happenings then...! :-)

The offices are empty! What time did you take this.

Cool little window boxes, each with their own personality. I think it might be more powerful if you did a square crop of just the main part of the building.

It would seem not... besides I've down the broken leg thing before and am not keen to repeat the experience ;-)

Not all empty Margot. This was shot at 21 past 5 in the evening. Most people are gone by 5pm.

I played with various crops of this Prescott. I wanted a nice square crop of the building itself, but couldn't find one that worked. The perspective is just out by enough to be annoying.

Most people are gone by 5pm? Aww...how nice! It's now 12:40 AM and hubby is still at work, but will be home soon. *Sniff* :o(

For the most part people work 9am to 5pm here (well except the ones that don't, but 9-5 is the norm). I hope Mr Margot starts late!

Looks like you were the only one working late!! Hope you didn't feel too lonely LOL Fascinating shot though, worth staying back for in my opinion! Have you tried adjusting the perspective and cropping it square into just the building? Would make a great abstract. Looks like a lot of little pictures of offices stuck together. Great work - well done!!!!

Ok, I counted 6 people working back...looks like 5 males and one female....sorry David ( i was bored)

I did in fact puddle with the perspective correction but just couldn't get it to work.

hehehe yeah I think I counted 6 too.

Hubby starts at 10 A.M. but still. Hopefully next month will be better hours.

This is a very busy photograph and agree with your comments - BUT - it is fascinating and appealing to the eye.

Thanks :) Yes, the fascination with it was enough for me - definitely not "high art" but interesting in it's own way.

I think I see what you mean about composition but I also find it an intriguing shot - there seems to be so much to look at.

I think that's it - lots to look at, and the voyeuristic nature of most people...
