Makes me wonder what the story is for these. A bit sad looking. Well seen.
  • David de Groot said:
Yes it's odd that they're three different shoes and lined up neatly between the two sets of tails (can't see the foreground set in this shot) where the general public aren't officially allowed to go.

    This is great!

Perhaps some zombies left them on their way to the walk today...
  • David de Groot said:
Hey, maybe you're onto something there... :)
  • benefit of hindsight said:
Three one-legged friends got drunk and stopped there to take off their shoes, because their feet were hurting.
Anyway, I like the vignetting effect here.

    great light and very mysterious!
  • David de Groot said:
hehehe I guess that's possible too David ;-)

    Thanks dirklie65.

People do secret art, and I'd say you've found some.
  • David de Groot said:
Could be Pam - pretty neat if it is :)

    Just a wonderful composition.

Thanks Brian. One of those great unexpected finds one comes across every now and then.

Well captured David, the tones and vignetting are wonderful.

    Seen in my contacts photos
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Jill :) 'twas a grey, overcast day, so a bit of tonal adjustment and a vignette and what was a fairly plain photo now becomes much more interesting.

.. & i note you you didn't share the find with anyone else!! you naughty & selfish man! ;-)

i *so* would have taken a shot if i'd seen that, too.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
  • David de Groot said:
    Well I wouldn't have had a unique photo if I had ;-)

But seriously, I did point everyone done to the end of the platform, and I know you chased Smiley down that way, 'twas only another couple of metres further along from where you stopped.

I think it's related to the racecourse. Do you remember someone suggested doing a photo shoot of the carpark after a big race day?

Mmm I have heard it can get really messy standing in the sun drinking wine for hours (not that I would know myself).

Those shoes are probably worth a fortune.
(I'll ask Natalie if they belong to her or her friends)
  • David de Groot said:
Hmmm, I don't recall that suggestion, but it does have merit - lots of messy people who probably won't even notice you're photographing them ;-)

As for the shoes, the one on the right is from Target, but I don't know what the other two are.

Well spotted. I like the mood, mystery and monochromatic palette.
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks 'riddles - I like the odd moody non-sequitur.
