The 17-40mm / 5DMkII combo is producing some nice shots Dave.
David de Groot said: Yeah pretty cool - around on Gold Scrub Lane there were people fishing there, one caught a sizeable yellowbelly. Sure does - mind you, 5DMkII and any L lens seems to produce fantastic results.

nice one, is this a panorama? and who's the guy down the bottom right hand side?
David de Groot said: Thanks :) Yep, three shot panorama, stitched with AutoPano Pro.
As for the dude, just some random fisherman.

Well, for the purposes of documentation... we have stood on more or less this esact spot befor e and looked out and said 'Lake? What lake?'
So glad to see the water is back :)

ah ok , is that a free program?, would the stitching Don in photo shop be as good ???
David de Groot said: Stitching in CS4 is quite good, but anything before that was fairly average to bloody awful.
No AutoPano Pro isn't free, but AutoStitch is, and uses the same stitching engine.

Now all we need is some rains like that out on the Downs for the Toowoomba dams, and it'll all be good.
Nicely done David ;-)
