New Family Members

Aleks' class had a chicken hatching at school and at the end of the two week stretch homes had to be found for the chicks. We decided to take three of them in the hope some will be female and thus give us eggs in a few months time.

Now I know why you bought a telephoto lens: To perve at chicks.

    lol.

Our chicken (Duck) is the result of a school experiment which needed a home. Duck lays on average an egg a day, so with three of them you'll be having eggs for breakfast or baking cakes more often. ;-)

If they're all male, your children will each have it's own alarm clock ; )

    Indeed!

That's the plan, presuming they're all hens that is. Nothing like fresh eggs to make Eggs Benedict with :)

If they're all male I'm thinking winter will see us having BBQ Chicken...

I was just thinking that if they are male they will end up as chicken curry or something....... poor ickle things, still 2+ cockerels would fight

    Quite!

hehe Well truth be told, they probably won't be eaten even if they do grow up to be roosters. I don't think the kidlets would let me for starters.

So I should sell tickets ?
