My Guitar

This is my shiny, red guitar.

It's an el-cheapo Suzuki and one of the pickups needs repair, as does a lot of the electricals, but it's mine and I sometimes make noise with it.

    Hehehe! (o^^o) I laugh at the el-cheapo....

I've always wanted to take this shot with hubby's guitar but find in very difficult to execute. I like the red wood here and the perspective.

I wish my hubby would play often because his guitars (yes, he has more than one) are just becoming dust catchers.

Mine would gather dust too, except it lives in a guitar case, which in itself, gathers dust ;-)

I took half a dozen shots before I was happy with one. This one could be better, but it's the best of the batch.

    Hmmm, a 335 envy I see.......!

    I've always wanted a 335 dot.

I'll take your word for it Peter, the only identifying marks on the whole thing is the word Suzuki in script on the head.

335 is the Gibson model...... worth around $3000.00-$4000.00.

A lot of companies copy the style and shape (some do a good job too). Does it sound good when its working?

    Ah ok, gotcha :)
It sounds ok, nothing as smooth and golden as a real Gibson, but not bad. However, I've only ever heard it with the one pickup working, the other one hasn't worked in all the time I've had it. I must say, I'm fairly curious to see how it'd sound with everything working... Hmmm, I don't suppose you know a reasonably priced guitar repair bloke ?

If its only wiring or replacing pickups, I can fix it.

Pair of pickups for that will cost $200 + and maybe need new knobs as well????

Well I suspect the pickups themselves are fine. One definitely works, the other is disconnected, but I've no idea how to reconnect it, and I'd seem to be missing some knobs as you've pointed out. :)
I might need to organise a time you can have a peek at it, as it'd be really nice to hear what it sounds like with both pickups working :)

No worries, we'll organise a time in the next few weeks.
