My 1964 Studebaker Cruiser

This is the front end of my 1964 Studebaker Cruiser, parked in my front yard ready to go down to the National Meet.

Alas, on the Saturday morning I went to check the fluids and could not open the bonnet, so it stayed at home. I'll need to do a minor adjustment to the bonnet release before we take it on any long trips.

Taken at home prior to the 2007 Studebaker Car Club National Meet, at the Gold Coast International Hotel, Surfer's Paradise, Qld, Australia.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful car. Love the black and white, it works really well.

A shame about you not being able to take her down to the meet. Oh well, next year i guess?

The next National Meet is in Ballarat in 2009, so I should have her all sorted out by then. :)

I originally took this in colour, but decided to see what it'd look like in b&w and there you have it. The conversion was done in DPP and I used the Green filter, making the red car come out very dark, but nicely contrasted against the lighter background.

More than enough time I should think.

Really must get around to using DPP more often. At the moment im purely a photoshop person. Have you tried out the update they put out for it? Version 3 i think.

Consider me officially very envious. Nicely photographed too. Looks superb in mono.

Well these things take a fair bit of money to bring to show quality, and time, effort and dedication. I'm lacking in most of those. However, I'll give it a whirl anyway.

Thanks Iain, I should bring the ol' girl along to a meet sometime just for the hell of it. Mind you, don't look at the boot or roof, as they are in major need of a repaint.

Thanks for stopping buy and the comments on my stude
the 64 looks fantastic, my brother had one for years, and my wife and I had two matching 65 studes as our wedding cars ( in 1976)
Dont know where either of those cars is now

Very much so Greg. Hmmm, we'll need to think of a good meetup location to bring her to. She's not too happy about start-stop traffic (but a lot better than she used to be), and obviously we don't want to leave her parked somewhere unsavoury.

    '65's Chill63 ? Chev powered Studes...a sad sad state of affairs ;-)
We used this one as our wedding car - of course it chose that time to have a non-working speedometer which made it interesting to drive in NSW where they're fairly serious about speeding offenses.

    Thanks Steve :)

Judging our speed with a stop watch and the 5 km markers. Ah, those were the days. I just felt more alive back then... ;)

Thanks David :) She's been an interesting car to own. There's nothing quite like owning a 40+ yo car to introduce you to new and exciting driving experiences.

    Another wonderful BW photo!
I don't know why but this reminds me of the old TV series, "The Fugitive" :-D

Well the car is the right era for "The Fugitive" :-)
