Mt Mee Sunrise

We dragged ourselves up to Mt Mee this morning at some ungodly hour and sat in the car while outside it was dark, windy and occasionally raining, waiting for the dawn.

Close to sunrise, we relocated to this little tree that Johnno and I scouted on Saturday morning, and was greeted by the best sunrise I've seen in a long time.

    I wish I could convince the significant other to get up early, but he's usually bedlocked ( as it were ). We were travelling on Friday though at 6 am, the mists rolling up out of valleys and off the fields were wonderful but we couldnt stop : (

    Indeed it was, although right up to when the colour first started to appear waaaaay over on the horizon, we really weren't sure it was going to work out.

    So you did, and a great location for it too. 'tis a nice little tree, but there is just so much up on the mountain worthy of exploring and shooting.

    Yeah saw the rainbow too (and shot it - although not as well as the last one).
    We were hoping for mists/fog this morning, but got this instead - I reckon it'll do ;-)
    I'm definitely not usually up this early, but it was worth it today.

    Glad we toodled up there - so much to see. We went about 7km down the dirt track towards the lookout, but turned around as it was another 7km to the camping spot and frankly we were hungry.
    Danke :) Still like your golden light tree though for that country feel.

    Better you getting up that early and it paid off. I will have to find a central coast sunrise to at least match Mt Mee.

    Yes, sometimes it's definitely worth getting up for (of course conversely, sometimes it isn't).
    It's tough to leave the nice warm bed eh ?
