We came across a little baby duck and it's mother, being fed by tourists. The duckling wouldn't come very close to shore, thus the cropped image (no long telephoto I'm afraid).

The duck equivalent to tying shoelaces, as in 'this is how you do it' Nice shot : )

hehehe yep.
I was quite surprised that the mother duck would dive in and grab food before the duckling could get to it at least half the time. I guess she was teaching it to stick up for itself.

Thanks Margot :) I took a heap of shots of the duckling, but was surprised by how many didn't come out. I guess it was just too small, fast and too far away for the autofocus to cope properly.

Thanks DrgnMastr - I don't know if this qualifies as "Excellence" but hey, I'll go along with that :)
