Mel's Hut

On our massive Border Ranges run, Mel divulged the location of this little hut in a field. We arrived at around golden hour with impressive clouds.

    Thanks :)
'twas a good time to be there, green green grass, and imposing clouds.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what it's original purpose was. It seems to have chains dangling from the rear eaves as if to hang a sign, and on the same side, a serving window and sill. Quite intriguing really.

love all the purpley colours in the sky and hills + the contrasting roof.
I'm looking forward to the Spring when the light is wonderful. Funny little hut, looks a bit like a lookout kind of thing !
If it sells drinks I'll have a latte, or perhaps a Mr Whippy ice cream, and thats with a flake please...

Thanks Ross, it's the obvious composition when you get there ;-)
It does appear that it once sold refreshments.

What a stunning scene and intruiging little hut! At first I thought they were kangaroos lazing in front of the hut but must be rocks are they?
  • David de Groot said:
Yes they're rocks. Granite I believe, although I didn't wander over for a closer inspection.
