This is a picture of me at some wetlands west of Sydney during a High School excursion in probably Year 8, which would make it about 1989.
I must have been about 15 or so at the time.
Being a scan from an old photo it's not the best quality, which considering it's a picture of me, isn't such a bad thing ;)

I have no idea Maria - probably some form of small fish or maybe just pond scum.
Helen, I'm only guessing - the uniform looks like my first high school uniform, so that'd place it somewhere between 1987 and 1989, but just when I'm not sure.
Great photo, does not matter how old of young ;-)

I still see that style uniform up here in north Queensland, but the kids wear runners and big ole basket ball shorts. And now days its the boys with just as many piercing as girls at school.

Yeah I had pretty much the same uniform from primary (Amberly, Qld) through to High School (Richmond, NSW & Mitchelton, Qld).
Four different schools, all grey and blue!
I'm assuming your teacher took the shot.... nicely composed and quite a pretty shot with the river and plants .... and you of course!! :)
I'd guess that'd be a pretty reasonable assumption Alison, as I'm fairly positive I didn't take it ;^)
