Bit of a different style for this one, stood on a chair, got really close with the 17-40L @ 36mm.
Three light setup - two monoblocs into shoot-through umbrellas in Butterfly configuration, top at 1/2 power, bottom at 1/8th power, third monobloc snooted with barn doors rear and to right to act as a hair light, also at 1/8th power.

Kara is very patient with you David :)
DOF is great!
This light configuration has potential but watch the highlight on the nose and the hard shadow under the left eye.
Sorry - nitpickers of the world unite!
In my eyes, very nicely done David - no nit picking from here - because I know nothing lol
Wonderful portrait, stunning eyes, really beautiful.
Kara is lovely, as usual !
Beautiful eyes. Lovely portrait.
'twas a fairly informal session, but I should have noticed that.
Great shot!
I've always wondered if there's some sort of trick people use to make pupils constrict just before a shot...
I like the concept. Much prefer informal shoots.
I actually like the larger pupils, and don't think the nose overhighlighted.
Beautiful tones on Kara's right cheek, but she looks a little flushed overall?
Is she charging you modelling fees yet?
As for fees - she get's a room and fed regularly ;-)
Yeah, mine too. And he's not even a model!
Don't they get automatic room and food for being born?!?
:-p
