Shave for a Cure day at Kara's school today and rather than shave their heads, the more parent friendly non-permanent colouring was done instead. Before she washed it out, Kara wanted some photographs to post online showing she did it.
This was one of the earlier ones - a better overall portrait (still not good, per se) than the one she'll post, but it shows less of the hair colour. I've applied a little skin smoothing due to her slightly spotty complexion at the moment.
Strobist: Vivitar 285HV at 1/16th into silver umbrella, camera left, and in front of subject. White wall to camera right. Canon 188a with snoot camera left and too far rear of subject as hair-light.

i'd have sponsored her to shave her head lol!!
maybe next year...!?
Love the smooth skin, David! Nicely done! Care to share how you've smoothen her skin? It's so radiant.
The benefit of a silver umbrella...
Great shot :)
Well, up until my PC had a cow, again.... The radiance though is all lighting :)
Good on ya Kara!
yeah I'll sponser for the head shaving too! I watched a couple of people getting shaved yesterday in the mall. I even donated :) And, before you pointed it out...I was going to say she has such a beautiful skin but I'll stand by that statement because you couldn't have done that much touching up
But no, she's not getting shaved.
well if Kara isn't then how about you!!
pointless for me since it's already shaved anyway, so you seem like a good enough candidate lol!!
David would require wifely approval for any such activity and I assure you it would not be forthcoming! :-P
lol leade!! It doesn't seem very kind of you to point out you'd had to smooth a few spots out though!! :)
it's a very beautiful portrait!
