Originally lit by a Canon 430ex in a brolly box close to subject on camera left, vivitar 285hv as hairlight, camera right and behind subject.

    the sepia has really, really worked here. You've hit the absolute limit of not blowing the photo out on Kara's right cheek, the eyes are clear and sharp.

    Thanks Bennie :) Yep, took it right to the limit, and then pulled it back just a titch.

    I reckon she is, as she came out tonight and said "you take good photos Dad". Which of course might just have been buttering me up because she wants to go out on Sunday but hey, you take what you can ;-)

    Thanks Jack :) Yeah we got her to pose a few different ways, but kept shooting between poses too. Often it's the between shots that are better, although this one was sort of a throw-away one.
