Kara at UQ

Kara and I went on a day lomg photo session covering some 252km of driving, several locations and styles, and lots of driving practice for Kara.

This was one of the first shots of the day, taken in the beautiful sandstone cloisters of the Forgan Smith Building.

Was that your first visit Johnno? I enjoyed that day.
I grew up a short walk from UQ and spent much of my early years wandering around the campus. The cloisters was a fun place for bike riding on quiet Sundays.

    Hey Greg. It sure was.
I think this was the same section of UQ where we spent time photographing.

I like it. Your eyes are drawn to the subject, then down the row of pillars.

    [http://www.flickr.com/photos/xenedis] Yeah I reckon you're right there. :)
    [http://www.flickr.com/photos/creativedirections] Thanks!
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/hojucandy] They have signs up now saying no roller skating or skateboards, but nothing prohibiting bikes. :)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/unrelatedpatterns] There is a cropped in version too, but I prefer the wider angle one.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/7830338@N02] 'tis a nice spot to shoot, although apart from these cloisters, there isn't a lot more that suits the theme.
    [http://www.flickr.com/photos/renanluna] Thanks!
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/66776142@N06] I'm quite partial to it myself ;-)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/33085391@N00] Definitely getting on! Also quite busy around here. Kara is now learning to drive, so we're frequently out in the car. Babies are fun though (well other people's babies that is!).

Love the sandstone tones and against the dark dress, the thin DOF, really centres attention on Kara, but that dark archway looks as though it is tugging at Kara.
