Nicely done. I like the darker areas to her left.

This is a lovely portrait David. Well done.

Yep, a nice short lit low-key lighting technique :)

    Thanks!

Looking considerably more grown up here eh ?

It's a very very tame version of Lewis Morley's portrait of Christine Keeler (1963). Well at least in a similar vein anyway.

Yep, she's quite good at this modelling thing really. Able to look different ages, holds a pose fairly well and can take direction.

Nice picture Dave. My daughter just commented on how pretty she is!
Happy Easter to you all there!

Oh no! Her ego will expand even further and suffocate us all! :P

    Happy Easter Pete (& Family).

    Jeez Dave.
Kara looks about ten years older in this pic.
What I see here (as opposed to many of your shots of her! :-) is her intention in the photo.

One might say you've nailed the shot, but I think she has nailed you!

You may indeed be right there Andrew as she chose this pose, rather than myself or anyone else in the group.
I was just talking to Greg about this the other night, women seem to have an innate ability in this regard. You know, chuck a guy in front of a camera and you'll either get something stupid or something wooden, but not so for the opposite sex.

Dave: Possibly women are more concerned than men about how they look. It's good that Kara is embracing modelling. If you make her look good in your photos, she'll be more inclined to model more.

Thus the copious amounts of zit removal... ;-)

    Yes, saw the "before" shot.

My view is that less is more. Remove what's not normally there, and leave what is. :-)

gorgeous lighting here - I prefer this, I must say, to the other two of Kara which come after this in your stream.
  • David de Groot said:
Very little post processing here David (apart from cleaning up her skin). I like it too.
The other two where me playing around with stuff in photoshop/lightroom.
