Jono posed for quite a lot of shots, since Kara got sick of me pointing the camera at her. This one turned out pretty well.
The bigger kidlets flew down to Nanna and Grampy's today (we're driving later in the week). The plane was delayed by bad weather but luckily I had my camera with me (ok so it's rare that I don't), and therefore kept myself amused snapping piccies (lots of piccies).

It's a really lovely portrait of you son, David. His eyes are really smiling too! Did you use natural light or fill in flash too?
All natural light Alison. The windows out onto the flight-deck were behind me :)
Jono quite often can be a really good subject, providing he's not trying to smile. If you can catch him genuinely smiling you get a really lovely shot.
Ditto about the aperture & focus on this one. That lens is loving you.
Your children certainly are good models for you Dave and you do take excellent shots of them.
It is indeed Mike :)
Thanks Kev, I would have taken a few more general airport shots, but every now and then the security guards looked sideways at me, so I decided not to (although that might have been related to me shooting red crates).
oh you gotta watch those red crates..... very suspicious!
Quite so... but apparently photographers are more suspicious to airport security, since they didn't even look sideways at the red crates!
Just goes to show how clever those red crates are!
LOL
Definitely the RED CRATES Dave, they will cause disruption where ever they go!
So the secret to getting past airport security unnoticed is to make yourself look like a red crate!
This is just such a brilliant pic on so many levels. I love the composition and I really like portraits framed like this. The lighting is fantastic, I doubt you could have done better in a studio. Finally the background features look brilliant with that amount of bokeh on them, again I don't think you could have achieved a better result in a studio. Good one mate!!
Now that's an impressive comment Chris :-) Much appreciated!
