It's Raining!

I woke (the second time) to the gentle sound of rain on our roof this morning and it's pretty much continued all day. What's even better though is the Wivenhoe catchment seems to be getting a decent amount also!

This is the view off our side veranda (master bedroom end of the house).

footnote: I was woken the first time by the phone - got called for work about something I really can't help them with, just what one wants at 6:30am on a Saturday morning!

It's great, and when the sky clears the photo chemical pollution will be gone and make for some more lovely photos.

Wonderful shot. It does look beautiful. You live in a beautiful place. It must be lovely to have that view from the master bedroom, raining or not.

Pretty much Ian, we're in a temperate rainforest area.

Thanks RH, I presume yours is a little more tropical.

Thanks Helen, yep, the more rain the better at the moment, and luckily a fair bit landed on the other side of the range (the main water catchment area for Brisbane).

Well we didn't get much in the way of clear skies this arvo Steve, but did get some great low cloud in the valley.

Nelly, close :) The jungle is officially some 2,000kms north, we're just in temperate rainforest.

It is indeed Gayle, it's soo nice coming home from work in the city to our little piece of bushland.

Somebody already said this, but it also made me think you live in the middle of the jungle - cool !

David, if it helps, I have had to use machetes on a walk through the property ;-)
