  It's a tough choice Sam. I looked at both, but the Sigma is
  a) slightly cheaper
  b) has better chromatic aberration control
  
  There's not much in it beyond that though. Well ok, it's 2mm wider too.

  Doesnt look like ill be going full frame any time soon (actually i dont want to) so i may as well go as wide as i can. It should go quite well with the pelen 8mm fisheye im looking to pick up as part of a group buy too.

  Well if you do go the Sigma, Rainer's in town has the best price around (even beating the cheap grey market importers on the net), and moreover, they currently have some in stock (well they did last Thursday anyway). :)

  Yeah, ill keep them in mind. Although a quick check of the funds reveals less than $200 in the account. It looks like it will be a few weeks before im ready to get one :(
