Immature Tawny Frogmouth

Having a snooze in one of the trees in our front yard. He's relatively low here (maybe 2.5m from the ground), presumably because it's a bit more sheltered from the quite strong winds.

    Thats got to Samford! They make really freaky noises at night....surprisingly we've been seeing some around Bulimba lately.

    Well Cedar Creek actually. In my front yard to be precise. We used to get a fair number of these out at Amberley when I was a lad.
