immature Australasian Gannet

Morrus serrator.

This immature Australasian Gannet made several flybys and many diving trips into the ocean looking for a feed. The mature one (which I didn't get to shoot) hunted further afield.

takes them awhile to perfect the dive I believe, we have a lot of gannets in the UK, problem is... not around here, they are seen way off the coast on their way to wherever it is gannets go to !!
You are blessed to have so many beautiful birds, I think I did warn you that bird photography is a disease, I dont think that there is a cure !!

We figured as much, as the adult didn't dive much at all, whereas the young one dove a lot (and presumably was less successful).
