    Oh we don't name them Elisha, that'd make them too hard to sell. It's like farmers and beef cattle, you don't name them either or how would you you send them to the butcher ? (not that we're sending puppies to the butcher, but you get the point).

    At most, they get nicknames - 'pinky', 'fatty' - and mostly so we can make comment on their developing characteristics.
    We deliberately don't name our babies so that we don't get too attached to them, or how could we let them go? And, honestly, we don't want 20 dogs running around just because we couldn't bear to part with them ;)
