This array of hot sauces was given to me by Simon & Mel for my 32nd birthday.
Yes, the Total Insanity Sauce is in fact, very spicy.

LMAO - well we now all know what you survive on (apart from home-made cakes, pies and bread, that is), David !
Thanks !
Well if variety is the spice of life, surely eating spice gives you variety ?
;^)
thats probably not all it gives you either .....
a warm tummy perhaps ? ;)
LOL !
Great selection! You've inspired me to photograph my current hot sauce stash....coming soon...
And here they are:
Neat! Apart from the Tabasco, I've not heard of any of those.
David,m you need to get out more. The thing about most hot sauces is they;re realy made as novelties and are just waaaay too hot for anyone from this planet to ever enjoy without searing a hole thorugh their mouth. If you'd rate Tobasco as "hot", which it is, I would not advise venturing into deeper waters.
I had an anglo friend who was spending a year successfully acclamating his taste buds to hotter and hotter foods. The trouble was, as he said, that he needed the volume on all his foods turned up. As he got used to the spicier stuff, he needed all the rest of his food to be sweeter, tangier, etc. Nearly everything t asted more bland to him as time went on.
Tabasco is nowhere near hot. Mildly spicy might cut it, but definitely not hot. As for tastebud subtlety, I've not any problems with that either, everyone is different, so I can only speak for myself, but I have no problem eating very spicy foods, and still appreciating very subtle flavours as well.
I love "La CosteƱa" Sauce great in everything.
