This is Holy!
He's a salt-water (or estuary) crocodile who now lives at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Order: Crocodylia
Family: Crocodylidae
Subfamily: Crocodylinae
Genus & Species: Crocodylus porosus
For the record, he's 5.5 metres long (nose to tail) which for those non-metric viewers is 18 feet long. If it wasn't for the fact that they like to chew on their prey a bit, he could swallow you whole!
I took this while playing tour-guide to a friend of ours who came over from Alaska in April this year.
See where this picture was taken.

This looks a little too close for comfort for me ;-) This is a nice shot of a subject that is, in my experience, very hard to capture well.
Thanks. Luckily through the magic of a long zoom, and a very high enclosure, I was in no danger.
That and it was during the six months that these guys don't feed.
look at those humps on his back, as if you can almost touch them. great shot!!
Good one ! his back reminds me of a door mat!!
Hehehe I don't know about you Helen, but I don't think I'd be game enough to wipe my feet on his back ;)
Lol, I will if you will !!
His name is Holy?
Sure is - apparently it's the first word most of the keepers said when they saw him, so that's what they called it.
