HMB Endeavour

Docked at Hamilton.

We had about an hour and a quarter wait to get on board, but everyone enjoyed the tour (even if Kara did want to climb the rigging).

Beautifull isn't she. We saw her in Scheveningen, The Netherlands.

Aye, she is indeed. I love tallships but there are far too few of them in this neck of the woods.

This is great David! I don't think many people realize how small she is!
  • David de Groot said:
    Indeed :)
Bigger than the Duyfken, but yeah, not large by modern standards, and there were 93 crew on this when it left England on it's voyage of discovery.

Dam, I need to find and scan my photos I took when she was first built and docked in NZ, I think they go back ten years or so
  • David de Groot said:
    Indeed! That'd be pretty neat.

Great shot. Small indeed compared with the other two ships in the photo.

Indeed. The warship is a NZ Navy vessel and the cruise liner is the Pacific Star in dry-dock for 2 months for a repaint.

very sporting of Kara, bet she didnt want to walk the plank though.....

I suggested a keel-hauling, but she didn't seem keen on that either...

'twasn't bad given it wasn't an ideal time of day for shooting (better than midday though). :)
Indeed she is Garry - I'd love to do a stint on her (or similar vessel).
