Helmeted Guineafowl

These guys are quite noisy, but as you can see he decided to be quite as soon as I started filming.

Helmeted Guineafowl are an introduced species native to Sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar.

    There's a whole flock of them out at North Pine Dam. This one wandered off and made noise in a tree while the others hung around the cemetery making noise instead.

    Oh, here's one I recognise... I have at least a dozen of these "African Chickens" scratching around my garden at any one time... and I don't have a huge garden either... they're a bit of an epidemic here!!

    when we were living on our farm, we used to get the feathers of these birds and make little fly fishing lures.. lol
