Hanging On

Taken somewhere along Toongabbie Creek, Old Toongabbie, Sydney on Boxing Day during a walk after lunch.

I thought these trees tenaciously hanging onto the sandstone cliff face were quite fascinating.

Very chaotic imagery, David. I think it was an excellent choice to put this shot in B&W. That choice seems to almost calm the chaos to create an interesting beauty.

Thanks Mark, the original was a little flat. I tried an Urban Acid variant, and it was interesting, but didn't quite work, but as you've pointed out, the B&W did :)

The textures and dof are great. It never ceases to amaze and reassure me that trees find a way of adapting to their environs. Thanks for sharing your find!

Yep, given the right conditions, trees will grow anywhere :) Thanks Melissa.
