lol......
not having the time to reset camera is frustrating, but this one is just fine!!:)
Gives it a sense of appropriate urgency... Hope duckie is ok!
Thanks Maria :)
Yes, he made a rapid and full recovery, although a somewhat tipsy one.
Thank goodness Greg was there, I can't imagine what would have happened otherwise (I mean this is such a specialized field).
Next flickr meetup we will have to either 'safety fence' the beer or you will have to buy a buoyancy device for him.
I'm thinking maybe it was the head on the beer... you know, ducks aren't that well adapted to swimming through beer foam. But yes, definitely handy to have a vet in attendance!
we really need to do a thorough risk analysis and implement appropriate WH&S procedures before the next flickr meet-up...
do yu think we can get advice from flickr administration about this? i sure they would not want to face any negligence suits.
^___^
Something like a policy of always requiring a vet to be present at meetings where there is a probability of alcohol and animals ?
now there is a policy i could vote for
Hahaha...glad to hear Duckie is all right. Cheers to Greg for saving the day! :o)
was this meetup announced on the brisbane group? how did i miss it?!

Quite so Coralie. Next weekend we've got an afternoon/evening thing with a visiting Sydney-sider, and then possibly a trip out to the bay area on the Sunday (or maybe something closer to town, dunno - details this week).
