While on my afternoon walk the other day I spotted these seeding grass glowing in the afternoon sun and had to shoot it.
In the background is the first drinking fountain erected in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
Just noticed on Scout that this one made it to #411 on Explore for Nov 3rd.

Cool - very nice capture. Looks like a summer day.
I like the effect of grass when captured by the wind. Great mood here.
David, still officially Spring, but the line tends to get fairly blurry in Brisbane at this time of year.
Thanks Rachel :)
Just wonderful. Love the lighting on the grass.
agree with Rachel on the wind effect - but the light makes it looks like radioactive grass :-)
I like this shot. Beautiful...The title fits perfectly to the subject
I like it very much too, we have something like this in the garden, this year it failed to produce much fluff !
Lovely and furry! I can imagine it rustling in the breeze!

So beautiful David, the silvery light on the grasses is wonderful.

Thanks everyone - quite an unexpected response :) I almost didn't upload this one.
Albert, I'm not sure they're quite iridescent green enough for radioactivity ;-)
Lovely photo David. Such a supposedly uninteresting subject, made beautiful in your hands and with your camera and knowledge. Great shot.
beautifully glowing grass & wonderful bokeh!!
Thanks Gayle and Maria :)
lovely.
Nice one David, so soft
Thanks Alison and John.
It was nice to see one of my contacts in this theme : ) So very feathery...Grasses theme at The World Through My Eyes
Thanks Melissa, I was thinking the same thing about yours too :)
(well not the feathery part, as frozen grass is rarely feathery)
I like the themes on TWtME, they're a bit of fun :)
Great to see this one again David! I still love it!!!
Thanks for sharing in our Grasses theme at
The World Through My Eyes
Thanks Jill, I had a couple to choose from but I like this one and the weather has been a bit anti-photography of late (either way too warm to go traipsing around outside, or threatening rain).
